The team includes animal behaviorists, veterinarians, animal trainers, vet technicians, and pet enthusiasts who are keen to share their knowledge on pet handling and general animal welfare.
Bubbly Pet offers informative articles backed by years of research and anecdotal records. We share general knowledge about various animals and pets, including their appearance, temperament, health, and maintenance requirements.
We also consult with breeders and canine organizations to check the accuracy of every content we share.

Our Team
Meet some of our members below.
John Carter
Founder of Bubbly Pet, Expert Dog Trainer, Animal Behaviorist
John Carter is an expert dog trainer, animal behaviorist, and shelter volunteer who has worked with various animals, including dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and more, for over 17 years.
While earning his master’s degree in animal behavior, he spent his spare time furthering his knowledge in canine handling and later became an expert dog trainer in Los Angeles, CA. He was certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and an active member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.
After finishing his post-graduate degree, he worked in medical research industries and wildlife organizations as an animal behavior specialist. At the age of 35, he became an Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (ACAAB), which proves his reputability in his field.
Jamie Whittenburg
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Dr. Jamie Whittenburg is originally from Lubbock, TX. She attended undergraduate school at Texas Tech University. She then spent years working as a veterinary technician in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area in both small animal and equine clinics before attending veterinary school.
She graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Whittenburg then went on to pursue post-graduate training at Texas A&M University. Following a move back to the Metroplex, she worked as an associate veterinarian in Fort Worth before the Hub City called her home.
In Lubbock, Dr. Whittenburg continued her work as an associate veterinarian and in academia. The most exciting day in her career occurred on May 1st, 2013, when she opened her own hospital, Kingsgate Animal Hospital, in her hometown of Lubbock, TX.
When not working, Dr. Whittenburg enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and spending time with friends.
Paula Simons
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Dr. Paula Simons is an Emergency and Critical Care Resident who aspires to be a veterinary criticalist. She is originally from Pennsylvania but ventured to Canada where she pursued veterinary school and a rotating internship before returning to the United States.
She is passionate about supporting pets and humans during their times of need. She has a special interest in critical care nutrition and trauma. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, volunteering abroad, and spending quality time with her cats Moo and Kal.
